Speak Up Now to Protect Coyote Valley

The moment is here: our best chance in decades to protect Coyote Valley from industrial development!

What’s happening? The San Jose City Council is considering how to allocate funding from Measure T, which San Jose voters overwhelmingly approved last November for land acquisition to improve flood protections and water quality.

How can I help? Using the form below, please email the San Jose City Council Members and urge them to allocate the full $50 million from Measure T for land acquisition and preservation in Coyote Valley.

Why does it matter? It’s crucial that the full $50 million from Measure T be kept available for this purpose, as voters intended. Otherwise, North Coyote Valley may become home to warehouses instead of wildlife and farms, increasing the risk of flooding in San Jose and driving up climate-damaging emissions.

Contact the San Jose City Council today! You can use the suggested text below—and personalize it if you’d like. For example, you could start your message with “As a concerned mother," or “As a victim of the 2017 Coyote Creek flooding,” etc. Thank you!
