Be Heard: Submit your public comment to prevent the rollback on Methane rules that curb emissions

The Trump Administration is planning to roll back Obama-era Methane rules that curb emissions of this gas that is 25 times more potent than CO2.

We are asking Mothers Out Front members and friends around the country to participate in the public comment period that ends December 17th. Please take a few moments to share why this rollback is bad for the US and especially for the health of our children today and their hope of a livable climate in the years to come.

Some important reasons to oppose this rollback:

  • The mission of the EPA is to protect human health and the environment. Within this mission is clean air and water. The EPA does not exist to protect industry that pollutes our water and air.

  • Methane leaks during each phase of gas production. Its pollution has been linked to numerous health impacts including cancer, fetal defects, and neurological conditions.

  • All of these emissions drive global warming which has a devastating effect on public health. Asthma, tick-borne diseases, food insecurity, and so much more are already on the rise.

  • We need to cut emissions NOT increase them if we have any chance of slowing global warming that leads to catastrophic climate change.

  • Our children are counting on us to preserve their chance for a healthy environment today and a livable climate tomorrow.
